What is involved with academic pricing and licensing?

Sometimes certain products have two separate prices; one non-academic and one academic pricing value.  Products available with academic/education prices can be recognized by the letters "EDU" near the end of the title in our Product Search.  In order to qualify for these prices, however, there are certain conditions that need to be met, depending on what software is being purchased:

In the case of all AutoDesk academic products, Wacom and others, such as the AutoCAD and 3D Studio Max range of products, we require some form of Academic ID before ordering of stock as the ID has to go to the Supplier. If in Doubt, Please email Rob so your order can be expedited as soon as is practical.

For all Adobe academic products, we require some form of Academic ID prior to purchase/ordering, similar to all AutoDesk products, as adobe need confirmation of academic certification before they can fulfill the order

For all Microsoft academic products, it is the responsibility of the customer to validate/confirm their eligibility for purchasing Microsoft academic products.

  Academic ID?
Academic ID includes the following:
For Students:
  • A TAFE/UNIVERSITY student card
  • Institution enrollment forms
  • A letter from the head of the academic institution stating you are currently a certified enrolled student
  • (Photographic identification must be sighted at the time of purchase/order)
    For Teachers:
  • A valid faculty or staff picture identification
  • An Australian Education Union card/membership papers
  • a letter from the head of the institution stating that you are a certified teacher/lecturer
  • a payslip or job placement slip from the academic institution
  • (Photographic identification must be sighted at the time of purchase/order)

Certain academic products are also available for purchase by non-profit organisations, libraries, registered charities, and some government departments.
    For more information, email Rob.

Who can buy under Education pricing?
